Enabling Members to do Better Business in Defence

Hi there,
Welcome to another big week in Defence.

The 2024 Capability Symposium took place on Wednesday with a packed line up of speakers. Amongst the many presentations, Chris Deeble from CASG has promised many reforms to procurement and to the culture of CASG, both of which should help SMEs better engage with Defence.

The Australian Defence Alliance (ADA) is keen to obtain your views on what changes to procurement would lead to a better outcome for you and your businesses. Please contact us with your suggestions.
The other big news during the week is that the US is likely to reduce the production of the Virginia Class submarines over the next few years. This has the potential to affect our ability to purchase three of these boats as per the AUKUS agreement, however, the Australian Federal Government is reassuring us that this will not be the case. Only time will tell!

As the world becomes more geopolitically unstable, the work we do in Defence Industry becomes more important. Keep up your good work!

Opportunities for SMEs in the defence industry will continue to grow and we are here to help and advocate for our members.

We would also like to hear from you if you have any news or stories about your business that may be of interest to other businesses and organisations.

We look forward to hearing from you.
