The flavour of the year has not changed since last week and there are even more opportunities in the defence
industry this week.
There have been a lot of significant announcements made this year; this week has been no different, with the Government's new "AIC assurance & contractual draft frameworks" being released by the Ministers for Defence and Defence Industry for review. This also includes a review into the Australian Standard for Defence Contracting (ASDEFCON) to be overseen by Minister Price, see more information below.
There is a lot of great information circulating via webinars during the COVID era.
They are a quick and easy way to gain a lot of concise knowledge. There are more fantastic opportunities to hear about how you can get involved in upcoming projects and also ways to develop your company to be able to do Better Business in Defence this week.
After the very popular (120 + members attended) Cyber webinar event that we hosted with Thales last week, there were a large number of members interested to learn more about Cyber Resilience.
As mentioned above the defence industry
is still one of the best places to be for continued work packages from the Government and opportunities from within industry (to boost the economy). Grant funding is a part of these opportunities, helping to boost Sovereign Industry Capability (SIC).
There has never been a better time to secure your piece of the Defence investment (proposed at half a trillion + dollarsover the next decade!)... especially if you are in the IT or Cyber Security sectors.
