Enabling Members to do Better Business in Defence

Hi there,

Welcome to the ADA Defence update for this week.

The year continues to ramp up with further developments in Defence Industry with announcements from the Albanese Government that a further $400 million will be invested in next generation loyal wingman drone. The MQ-28A Ghost Bat, known as a Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA), is being developed in cooperation with Boeing Defence Australia. It is the first military combat aircraft to be designed, engineered and manufactured in Australia in more than 50 years. The additional funding will secure over 350 jobs across Australia and will ensure ongoing work for over 200 suppliers, supporting the local defence industry.

Opportunities for SMEs in the defence industry will continue to grow and we are here to help and advocate for our members.

We would also like to hear from you if you have any news or stories about your business that may be of interest to other businesses and organisations.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Government Invests Further $400 Million in Next Generation Loyal Wingman Drone

The Government has secured hundreds of highly skilled jobs while driving innovation in Australia’s local defence industry with the allocation of an additional $399 million for the ongoing development of the MQ-28A Ghost Bat.
